This article explains how to assign a DID to your Microsoft Teams channel.
Before reading these instructions be sure that the following prerequisites are met:
Microsoft Teams with DirectFax added to either the user or to a specific channel (enrolled by the same user attempting to assign the DID).
An etherFAX account with access to the etherFAX Clients Portal at https://clients.connect.etherfax.net.
A DID assigned to your etherFAX account.

How to assign a DID to your Microsoft Teams channel
With a DID assigned to your account, visit https://clients.connect.etherfax.net and sign into your account.
On the left-hand side select DEVICES and look for your instance of Microsoft Teams:
If you have more than one instance of Microsoft Teams, you can match the MAC/Serial Number column in the Clients portal with the result you receive in Microsoft Teams after entering the command “@DirectFax get device status”.

When you confirm the channel you want to assign your DID, in the clients portal, select the gear icon on the right of that channel and then click Edit:
Select the DID you would like to choose in the drop-down menu of Available DIDs and then click Assign DID. Enter configuration information and make sure Device Enabled is selected and click Save in the upper-right corner:
You can go back to Microsoft Teams to confirm your channel has been assigned the specified DID by entering the “@DirectFax get device status” command into a new conversation on the registered channel.
If you have issues with a Microsoft Teams channel, it may be that the Microsoft Teams channel is not fully registered to your etherFAX account. Revisit the etherFAX-Microsoft Teams Setup instructions to make sure the specific channel has DirectFax Messenger added.
